Hanging or wreath? I wasn’t sure either! I think it’s cute though, regardless of the title!
Items Needed:
- Styrofoam heart form
- Red Yarn
- Felt (white, pink & red)
- Hot Glue/Glue sticks
- Scissors
- Ribbon
I started off by securing my yarn to my form with a small strip of hot glue. I started at the top point (or “V”) of the heart, wrapping my yarn in a single layer. I had to use glue to help hold the yarn until I got past to the curve of the heart and then it could hold itself!
I completed one side at a time and brought both sides together at the bottom point. I then finished one side and then the other. I had to overlap at the bottom to get the entire point covered in yarn. I secured the ends of both pieces of yarn with hot glue.
Next I cut small pennants from the felt I had leftover from my X and O I made for my Fabric Wreath. I also added red felt for this project. I wanted to bring in another accent color and chose to go with turquoise! I had this cute little ribbon left over from my packaging for my Hot Chocolate on a Stick. It worked perfectly for the mini-bunting to hang across the heart. I applied the pennants to the ribbon with hot glue. I also tacked the ends of the ribbon to the back of the heart form with hot glue.
I hung it using a small loop of the ribbon, hot glued on the back, with a small clear 3M Command hook. The hooks are used to manage/straighten your Christmas lights. The heart is so light that one of these guys works great! I hung it on my mirror in my entry way! I {Heart} It…sorry I couldn’t resist!

Have a great Monday!
