I seem to be obsessed with Snowman Ornaments! I made this Snowman Family Ornament for my series in 2011 and then I made this Snowman Ornament for my series last year and this year I am back again to share my PVC Snowman Ornament! I just love them for some reason!
This project came about one day when I had an hour to myself. A whole hour! Where did I go? None other than The Home Depot! I am not even kidding. I walked up and down each of the aisles because I had only my own thoughts and questions to deal with! It was glorious! I actually stopped in the PVC aisle to look at some caps for our downstairs bathroom (which my husband tore out while I was away at BlogHer this past summer!!!) and while I was looking at caps this little project popped in my mind! I also extra love it because I am an engineer by degree so it’s fun to make parts that I used to deal with….CUTE!!!
supplies needed:
- 1” PVC cap
- 3/4” PVC Cap
- 1/2” PVC Cap
- Small Black Buttons
- Build a Snowman Button Set (Hobby Lobby) {Or small Sharpie, Orange felt + Black Felt}
- Hot Glue/Glue Sticks
- Ric Rack
- 3.8” ribbon for scarf
I started off gluing my PVC Caps together.
Next I added small black buttons to the two largest PVC Caps
For the face and hat I used this “Build a Snowman” Button set I picked up at Hobby Lobby!
I glued in the face in the smallest PVC Cap and then the hat on top!
I added some ribbon for a scarf and frayed the edges so it looked like that.
Lastly I added some ric-rac in a loop to hang on the tree!
Celebrating the Series with me today are my amazing friends Bonnie & Trish from Uncommon Designs They are sharing their fabulous Faux Chalkboard Christmas Tags!
You can also check out my FREE Melted Snowman Water Bottle Labels as well as my Puzzle Piece Snowflake Ornament too! I also made this cute Snowman Candy Dish from a Clay pot!
