I purchased the adorable ornament file from Desert Fox Creation on Etsy and then I cut one in Cherry plywood and Red Oak plywood and used the engrave and cut features with my xTool M1 and then assembled the pieces with wood glue.
If you’d like to learn more about the xTool M1 Laser/Blade Cutter, I invite you to check out my M1 overview post as well as fun projects like cutting acrylic earrings or engraving cutting boards for charcuterie!
Then I printed these FREE Christmas Wishlist and Printable Envelope sheets using my home printer.
I cut out the envelope with scissors and folded it along the lines. You can fold by hand or you can also score the lines using a scoreboard.
Then I used a tape runner to glue it together. Use a tape runner or a glue stick, not wet school glue. The wet glue will make the paper wrinkle.
Have your child fill out the letter to Santa printable and then fold and place it in the envelope. There is a “from” spot on the envelope for their name.
Insert it into the ornament and hang it on the tree! Santa will come and grab it on St. Nick’s day!
