I made this cute Happiness Plaque back in April for my Secret Sister from SNAP Conference! Since it is 3 months later, I guess the secret’s out and my sister is Brenda at From Me, With Love. I love how she followed her dreams to change professions and so I thought this quote was perfect for her and made this fun plaque for her to hang or display in her office! I thought you might like it as well!
Supplies Needed for Happiness Plaque:
- White 8 x 10 Wooden Gesso Board
- 3 Colors of Vinyl
- Transfer Paper
- Electronic Cutting Machine such as a Silhouette CAMEO
- Scraper tool or Credit Card
- Happiness Cut File
I love this Gesso Board because it has a white top but it has wood sides. It’s not solid wood so it’s light as a feather! Perfect for fun plaques!
I cut my vinyl using my Silhouette Cameo. You are welcome to the the cut file for that! You can download it here. I carefully lined up my vinyl wordings and put them together on some transfer paper.
I transferred the vinyl over to the Gesso Board and then smoothed out all the bubbles if there are any with the scraper tool. Remove the transfer paper and you are left with this cute sign!
You can hang this on the wall or put it on a stand as a plaque. I just love the quote and I think it’s a good reminder that we are in charge of our happiness! I love how it turned out!
I also love this Split Monogram Plaque! I have a video screencast for this one to show you how to easily make your own! I also am in love with this Color Outside the Lines Board I made! I used the vinyl as a reverse stencil so to speak rather than using the vinyl for the finished product!

I love this picture!! I downloaded the file so I can make one myself. Love it!! I love the idea of using transfer paper, but I’ve never used it. Did you print your letters backwards?
