Are you a fan of Gnomes? I have a neighbor who loves them and it got me thinking how cute they would be on some printable valentines! I can’t believe after years of making Valentine Cards I never touched on gnomes!
This is a very inexpensive Class Valentine idea. If your school does not allow food/candy to be distributed with Valentine cards you can always replace the chocolate heart with a heart eraser for a great non-candy gnome valentine option!

How to Assemble Gnome Valentine Cards
Time needed: 10 minutes
Grab the free printable and turn some paper and heart chocolates into a fun Gnome Valentines that all your child’s classmates will love!
- Download and Print the Gnome Valentine Printable
Download the free printable below and then print it using your home computer. I recommend printing on 80 lb white cardstock (or heavier weight). Print at “best” quality, this is normally under the properties tab.
- Cut out Valentine Cards
Using a pair of scissors or a paper trimmer, cut out the Gnome Valentines following the dashed lines.
- Sign the Cards
Have your child sign the Valentine Cards. They can use a fun colored pen, pencil or marker!
- Attach the Chocolate Heart
I attached the chocolate hearts using glue dots. You can also use tacky glue or even a small dot of hot glue. Make sure to supervise if you are choosing the hot glue option as that can burn your child. You will attach the chocolate hearts upside down on top of the beard. The gnome nose will fit into the apex of the heart.
- Give to Friends!
Pass out to friends!
Notes about Gnome Valentines
- You can find the chocolates at almost any drug store, Target or Walmart!
- Replace the Chocolate with a heart eraser if your school has a no food/candy policy
- You may print as many copies of the Gnome Valentine Printable as you need.
- Have your child sign the cards before applying the candy hearts, it is just easier!
