How to Make an E-Learning Door Sign
Time needed: 15 minutes
Use this SVG File withe your Cricut or Silhouette to create a sign to keep your house quiet while the small people are a e-learning!
- Upload the SVG
Upload the SVG to your respective design software. The SVG file may be found below in this post.
– How to Upload SVG Files into Cricut Design Space
– How to Upload SVG Files into Silhouette Studio - Size SVG to your Sign
Size the file to fit your particular sign.
- (Optional) Attach
I left the words “wine and math” as a separate layer in case you wanted to highlight those in different color vinyl. Since I am cutting everything in the same color, UNGROUP the layers then ATTACH the wine layer and the rest of the saying layer so it cuts as one piece.
- (Optional) Use the Layer Vinyl Method
Add triangles (one for each color of the pencil layers), match the triangle colors to each layer of the pencil, and attach the same colors.
You can find a detailed post on how to layer vinyl the easy way here. - Cut the Vinyl
Cut the Vinyl using your selected machine. You may find more detailed tutorials here:
– Cutting Vinyl on a Cricut
– Cutting Vinyl on a Silhouette - Weed the Vinyl
Using a weeding hook, remove the excess vinyl leaving only your e-learning svg design on the carrier sheet.
- Add Transfer Tape
Apply transfer tape to the wording of the sign and apply to sign.
FOR THE PENCIL:
If using the Triangle method in step 3. Start with one layer and add to the next layer lining up the triangles. Continue until all layers are added, remove the triangle to apply pencil to sign.
If applying without triangles, center the yellow layer first and add layers moving outwards. - Remove Carrier Sheet
Carefully remove the transfer tape leaving the vinyl on the sign.
