Are you a buffalo chicken lover?? I am. I love salads, chicken wings, and wraps, and now I {heart} this buffalo chicken dip recipe! It’s so delicious! My good friend, JP, in Minnesota, made it one day for an office potluck. I. could. not. stop. eating. it. I in part blame him for my obsession with all things soaked in buffalo sauce! It’s nice to blame someone right?! {wink}
I pair my buffalo sauce addiction with my ranch dressing addiction. Some prefer Bleu Cheese but I don’t eat anything that is in the same phylum as athlete’s foot. Sorry…just a personal choice! Wow! Who would have thought that I could have incorporated athlete’s foot into a recipe post? Never doubt my abilities! {wink}!

This recipe is perfect for a 1.5 quart crock pot! {pictured above!} If you want to do a double batch, then use a larger crock pot because it won’t quite fit in the 1.5 quart one! Speaking of…that is another reason this recipe is so great…you can make it in the crock pot! Perfect for pot lucks, game day, game nights, or during parties! I love all recipes where you get to throw ingredients in a crock pot, turn it on and leave it be until it’s time to eat!
I like to serve this dip with buttery Ritz crackers and celery sticks! It’s also great with corn chips and wheat thins! Buffalo wings are normally served with celery so dipping the stalks in this spicy dip is just heaven I tell you! You can also serve this dip right out of the crock pot or put it in a cute serving bowl! Whatever is the easiest for you!

This recipe sounds delicious! I am a teacher and we are doing a lunch in a bowl competition this week! I am definitely going to try this out. About how long will it need to cook before it’s ready?

Really just long enough to melt the cream and shredded cheeses and heat the chicken through! Not long! :) I hope you love it!

I love this! Totally trying it this weekend! I wonder if I could do it with raw chicken and just leave it in there for 4-8 hours? What do you think?
Cheryl Spangenberg says
You could cook the chicken first and then add the other ingredients maybe? I would not mix them all together at first though because the cheese will burn if left in there that long.

Good point. I think I’ll do that.. maybe cook it with just the hot sauce (maybe add ranch too) then mix it with the other ingredients once it’s cooked. Hmm… Well however I decide to do it, I’ll definitely be posting it on my blog and linking back here! Thanks for sharing! Can’t wait to try it! :)
