Repurposing clay pots into cute seasonal characters has to be one of my favorite quick and easy seasonal craft projects! Some paint and a cute face and you can turn a terracotta pot into a boo-tiful clay pot ghost craft!

I have a whole collection of Clay Pot Crafts you can check out! These crafts are easy to make, fun for all ages and great for group craft projects! They also make adorable mantel or table decor!
You can vary the size of the clay pots for your needs! I have used the small pots to do a group craft with my kid’s classrooms, and then larger pots for centerpieces for tables! Or you can make multiple sizes to represent your family as I did for my Pumpkins and Leprechauns!
Supplies for Clay Pot Ghost Craft
- Clay Pot* (you can also find them on Amazon in larger quantities!)
- White Acrylic Paint with Brush or White Spray Paint
- Black Paint and Small Paint Brush
- -or Black Vinyl, ghost face cut file (below) and an electronic cutting machine such as a Cricut or Silhouette.

How to Make Clay Pot Ghost Craft
Time needed: 20 minutes
Transform a terracotta clay pot into a cute clay pot ghost craft perfect for your Halloween decor. This clay pot ghost is perfect for group Halloween craft projects!
- Paint the Pot
Turn the pot upside down and using 3-4 coats of white acrylic paint and a foam brush, paint the pot white.
You can also use white spray paint. (2 coats)
- Add Ghost Face
Here is where you can get creative! You can paint on the ghost face using black paint and a fine tip brush or you can use a black paint marker.
Alternately, you can use your electronic cutting machine such as a Silhouette or Cricut to cut the ghost face from vinyl. I used my Cricut!
- Apply Vinyl
