If you are looking for a unique wreath to hang on your front door, above your mantel or in your home, this Carrot Easter Wreath is just that! For less than $20 make this quirky Easter wreath that is sure to lure the Easter Bunny right to your house on Easter day!
I have this thing with carrot decor. I don’t know what my infatuation is with it? Previously I have made Carrot Mason Jars, Fabric Carrot Goodie Bags, and Carrot Play-dough. Maybe it’s the bright orange color after all the green from St. Patrick’s Day that draws me in? I don’t know! My friend Heidi made these Carrot Popcorn Treat bags that are super cute too!
This project was one that I literally dreamt about. (I have my best ideas in the middle of the night!) Sometimes those ideas come out of my head and are a disaster in real life and other times they come out of my head and are better than I expected, like this Carrot Easter Wreath!
Supplies Needed for Easter Wreath:
- Three bunches of Orange Tulips
- Three bunches of Fern Foliage
- Burlap Twine & Burlap Ribbon
- Scissors
- Wire Cutters
- Hot Glue/Hot Glue Gun
UPDATE: I originally purchased my orange tulips from JOANN, however after that year I made this, I have had a really hard time finding them there again so I linked to plenty of options on Amazon above in the supply list. You will need approx. 20 tulips.
How to Make A Carrot Easter Wreath
I started out by removing all the stems from the main spike on the tulip floral bunches. You will need Wire Cutters for this.
Next, I started laying out the flowers, pointing down, in the shape of a carrot. After a few rows, I would gather the stems with twine and tie off. Keep adding layers until you have a carrot shape. Hot glue any straggler stems that don’t fit in the tied bunch.
Then I added the fern leaves to the top of the carrot.
When I had them how I liked, I tied the fern stems together WITH the tulip stems.
Using burlap ribbon (or any ribbon you want) make a bow and place in between the carrot top and the fern leaves. I added a loop of twine to the back to hang! Now you have an adorable Carrot Wreath perfect for Easter!
