Today I am sharing a simple idea that can be used either for individual place settings or can be used as menu cards for your holiday buffet. They can also be slightly adapted to double as napkin rings. I told you that I like multi-tasking.
Supplies Needed:
- Small Candy Canes (either small edible ones or fake ones—I bought some candy cane garland from the dollar store and I used those plastic ones from there)
- Hot glue/glue gun
- Ribbon
- Small jingle Bells
- Wooden Tags
- Chalkboard paint/chalk
- small clothespins (for napkin rings)
I started off by removing the candy canes from the string of garland. I then glued three of them together in a triangle format so that they could stand on their own.
Next I added some green ribbon to the top with a small jingle bell and a bow!
I painted up some small wooden tags that I got from Pick Your Plum with chalkboard paint and when dry rubbed chalk all over the face of them and wiped off with a napkin.
Tie a piece of ribbon through the tag so it looks like a gift tag! Write your name of your dish or the person’s who will sit there!!
You can also add a clothespin to the back of the tag and attach them to napkin rings and use those as napkin rings and place settings!
I just tied a fabric napkin with some ribbon.
Then added the tag with the clothespin on the back.
These guys are sitting on my Santa Placemat and up above in the buffet menu card picture you can see my Embellished Serving Utensil. You can check those out too if you missed them!
