It’s getting to be green around here! This is My Lucky Shirt FREE SVG is perfect for your pinch protection this year! Use this with your Cricut or Silhouette cutting machine or your Sublimation printer and paper!
I am a big fan of all the holidays. It’s no lie that I say each holiday is my favorite and at that exact moment, it is! I also love funny saying shirts because I kind of feel like a #boymom, funny shirts are all I have!
Supplies for St. Patrick’s Day Shirt:
- Your favorite blank shirt! (Amazon | Happy Crafters)
- Cricut Cutting Machine (Amazon | Cricut)
- Navy, Kelly Green and Lime Green Iron on (Amazon | EV | Happy Crafters | Cricut)
- Weeding Hook (Amazon | Cricut)
- EasyPress 2 & Mat
- Scissors
The free Lucky Shirt SVG file is three color layers: The collegiate font, the word Lucky and the four-leaf clover. You can mix and match colors of iron on to your liking!
How to Make a This is my Lucky Shirt Tee:
To get started let’s refresh our memories on a few things:
Download the “This is my Lucky Shirt SVG” to your computer and upload to Cricut Design Space or Upload to Silhouette Studio. I am using Cricut Design Space today.
Size the file to your shirt size and click Make It.
On the Prepare Mat screen, make sure to MIRROR each layer of your designs as we ALWAYS MIRROR when working with iron on. Do that for all three mats.
Click Continue and here you will select your machine, and material and load and cut your mats.
When finished cutting, use your weeding hook to remove the excess iron-on from around the designs.
Using your EasyPress 2 and Mat, follow the recommended temperature settings for your blank and type of iron on used and press the design.
Choose your favorite t-shirt! You can use this on a cotton adult shirt as I did above or also on a kids shirt or a baby bodysuit! If you are using sublimation, make sure your shirt fabric is at least 50% polyester! The higher the poly count, the more vibrant your colors!
The fun design will give you your pinch protection and the shamrock a bit of luck!

Today I am using my Cricut Explore Air. You can use an Air 2, Maker or Joy as well as any version of the Silhouette Cameo or portrait for this project as well!
Supplies Needed for Let’s Get Shamrocked Drinkware:
- Cricut
- Black Vinyl
- Green Vinyl
- Transfer Tape
- Scraper/Squeegee Tool
- Hook Tool
- Wine Glass or Beer Mug (or both!)
- Alcohol Pads or Alcohol & paper towel
Prepare your drinkware as detailed here to get the best vinyl adhesion.
Upload the file into Cricut Design Space. You can find detailed directions to upload SVG files into Cricut Design Space here. (How to upload SVG to Silhouette Studio here.)
Size the design appropriately for your blank (shirt, mug, glass, tote, hat, etc). Cut the design. Click here for tutorial + screencast on How to Cut Vinyl using a Cricut.
Once you have your pieces cut and weeded you can apply the vinyl!
Since this is a design with 2 colors of vinyl and we need each color to line up with the other, I am going to cut a piece of transfer tape slightly larger than my entire design and I am going to apply it to the lettering first. Smooth the transfer tape over your black vinyl using the scraper.
Remove the paper backing from the vinyl carefully, leaving your vinyl stuck to the transfer tape.
Now you can carefully line the black letters up with the spaces in the green shamrock.
NOTE: There is a bit of static cling that can happen. When you get your transfer tape close to the shamrock it might automatically fly up and stick to the transfer tape. To negate this, tape your shamrock down to your surface first and then line up the letters.
Use the scraper tool again to smooth the transfer paper onto the shamrock shape.
Again, remove the paper backing of the shamrock, so you are left with your complete design on the transfer tape.
Now you will apply this to your mug or glass. Smooth the transfer tape and vinyl over the surface and apply some pressure with your fingers. Carefully remove the transfer tape leaving the design intact on your mug.
Now enjoy your St. Patrick’s Day Beverages from your fun new St. Patrick’s Day Let’s Get Shamrocked Mug or wine glass!
You can even cut this file in heat transfer and use it on a shirt! These would be fun to make if you are going to a parade with some girlfriends! Make everyone a matching St. Patrick’s Day Shirt!

Thank you for all the svg freebies. I made me a sweatshirt with the “This is my lucky shirt” file & I was the hit of my group’s party! I wish I could send you a picture of the sweatshirt here. I changed the colors a bit (no navy blue) & it turned out so darn cute!
