Pineapple Gift Box

If there was ever a reason to give a gift, this pineapple gift box is it!  It’s bright, it’s fun and it’s fantastic!  This quick craft will be a hit, I promise!  You might want to go ahead and make two right away!  One to give and one for you!

I mean who would not want to get a fun gift in this super fruity gift box?  Ok my husband could care less however he doesn’t need a present anyway!  {wink!}  This box took no time and honestly you don’t need to be very accurate with this project either because real Pineapples are all different and unique!

Supplies Needed for Pineapple Gift Box:

• Oval paper mache gift box in your choice of size
• Yellow Paint
• White Paint
• Brown Paint
• Paint Brushes
• Green Craft Foam Sheet
• Hot Glue Gun & Glue Sticks
• Pencil
• Scissors

Start out by painting your box and lid white. This helps the yellow be vibrant and not so streaky! Then paint over the white with the yellow. You will need 2 coats of yellow paint.

Next, I traced the arc of the box onto some green craft foam.

Next I drew in some pineapple leaves and cut them out of the green craft foam.

Using ruler and a pencil make some dashes to guide you while painting the criss-crosses of the pineapple on your gift box.

Using brown acrylic paint, draw in your pineapple lines.  They do not have to be perfect at all.  In fact, I like it better when they are not.  It’s more like a real pineapple!  I added little dots and “v”’s to the centers for the pineapple’s scales.

Using a hot glue gun, glue the pineapple leaves on the base of the box, not the lid.   I applied a thick line to the bottom of the craft foam and then once it was applied, I added another line behind the leaves for support.

I filled with some crinkly paper filler from Dollar Tree & added a pair of my most favorite earrings ever from Nickel & Suede and there you have a super cute pineapple gift box to give to a special person!  You can check out other gift wrap options here!!
