Today in my 25 Days of Christmas Series I am sharing this fun Glittered JOY Wall Hanging! It’s really easy and I love the way the glitter sparkles and shines!
I realized the other day that I don’t glitter enough stuff! Probably because I live in a house of boys and so glittered things are not in high demand. I did treat myself to a pair of black glitter TOMS last year. I love them. The boys call them my “fancy shoes”! Ha!
I was super excited when this box full of glitter arrived on my door step! Michael’s is the exclusively carries this Recollections glitter and in a huge array of colors and textures! There is very fine (what I used), chunky, and tinsel. The tinsel is pretty darn fun looking! I can’t wait to play with that kind next! Starting at $3.99 it’s easy to get what you need!
It was really easy to make my JOY Wall Hanging! Here’s how I did it!
Supplies Needed:
- Glitter
- Paint
- Glue
- Paint brushes
- Ribbon
- Hot Glue Gun/glue sticks
- Wooden J, Y
- Wooden Snowflake
I started off by just applying some glue to the wooden snowflake. It was meant for an ornament, I just snipped off the hanger.
I worked in sections, added a bit of glue and then the fine white glitter.
For the J and the Y, I combined a step and just used the paint to adhere the glitter. I originally started out thinking I’d glitter only the center section of the letters.
I changed my mind and did the whole thing!
Once those are dry simply hot glue them onto a thick width ribbon. I trimmed the bottom and added a bow to the top and hung on the wall!
These glitters can be purchased in a set or individually and are perfect for any glitter craft project you can dream up!
My sweet friend Chelsea from Making Home Base is sharing these adorable burlap gift bags burlap bags today! If you don’t already follow Chelsea, you are missing out!
