I am so excited to share with you a fabulous recipe that is for all you Lime-A-Rita lovers out there! Mix up a batch of this Copycat Lime-A-Rita recipe and you night never drink one from a can again!
This drink has been around much longer than the tiny cute cans in your grocery store refrigerator have. We are huge fans of eating at Mexican restaurants and I have seen over turned Coronas in Margarita glasses for years! Then the cute little cans of it came out. While those are nice, I like it ever better when I can mix up a whole bit batch of a delicious drink myself.
Lime-A-Ritas are not margaritas. Lime-a-Rita’s are a happy mix of margaritas and Mexican beer. Think about it…you put limes in your margaritas…and you put limes in a Corona…so it was inevitable that the two would become one :)
One of my favorite things about late spring and summer is that I can have some friends over, we can sit on our back patio and relax while the kids play in the yard and burn some energy and I can mix up batches of drinks and we can enjoy each other’s company. There is something about someone else making a drink for you that makes it taste so much better! While I am not at all against opening a beer bottle or a wine bottle {we all know I do those both!} I absolutely love making batches of great drinks up! I even make my own Kahlua! {<– not even joking!} Another fan favorite is my White Peach Sangria. That is a perfect patio drink as well!
I plan on making another batch up for Cinco de Mayo this weekend! Paired with my secret ingredient guacamole recipe, we will be set to enjoy the day!

I can’t wait to try this but was wondering what size can of limeade you used – all I can find are large cans of frozen limeade.

JJ I used a 12 Fluid Ounce can of Limeade!

I enjoyed drink recipes which are on your website. Accidentally I ran into your website when searching for Lime-a-rita specifics. I like your ‘look-alike’ recipe and will try that. Then I noted the link to your homemade Kahlua. That will be next!
Thanks, Bobbi
