Advent Christmas Countdown!!

I have to start out by giving all credit for this cuteness to Pick Your Plum!  That is where I purchased my vinyl for this cute magnetic Advent calendar and where I found the inspiration!!    Have you heard of Pick your Plum?  It is an awesome site with a daily deal of crafty goodness!  I have made several purchases and have not been let down!

You can make this on your own easily if you have a Silhouette or Cricut.  You can also use my back up method of utilizing scrapbooking stickers to get the same effect!

Items Needed:

• Metal pizza pan
• Spray paint
• Vinyl or scrapbooking letters
• Paint (optional)
• Ribbon
• Hot glue gun/glue sticks

I started out by spray painting this bargain pizza pan white using Krylon Dual White Spraypaint  It’s so worth it, it covers great!!  (I purchased my pizza pan at Wal-Mart for $0.99).

After it dried, I applied my Vinyl.  I got my tips for applying vinyl from Ginger over at Ginger Snap Crafts.   I thought it looked a bit plain (even for me!) and so I added red and green dots to the outside edge of the pan using some paint from Martha’s new line.  I like it much better now!

I hot glued some red ric-rac-ish ribbon I had in my stash to the back of the pan to hang it on the wall.

Adding a small magnet to the back of a small plastic ornament with some hot glue gave the perfect little object to move to each number as we countdown to Christmas Day!
